The Enneagram for kids
A short, kid-friendly quiz about what you care about and how you handle things. It doesn’t tell you who you are. It shows you a few patterns, and you decide which one sounds like you.
For parents: why it works this way
The Enneagram describes why people do what they do: the fears, desires, and habits of attention underneath behavior. Adults can usually look inward and recognize their own motivation. Children are still building that ability, which is why most Enneagram teachers advise against typing kids at all.
So this quiz is built around one idea: the child decides. It asks simple questions, shows the three patterns that came up most, and asks your child to pick the one that sounds like them, or to say they’re not sure yet. It never shows a score or announces a type. Read more about using the Enneagram as a parent.
Questions
Can you take the Enneagram test as a child?
Carefully. Most Enneagram teachers avoid typing children, because a type depends on inner motivation and kids are still developing the self-awareness to recognize theirs. This quiz doesn't assign a type. It shows the patterns that came up most and lets your child decide which one, if any, sounds like them.
What age is this kids' Enneagram test for?
Ages 8 to 17. For 8 and 9-year-olds, read the statements aloud together and treat the result as a fun guess. Under 8, we suggest waiting. At 18 and up, the full adult test is a better fit.
Why doesn't the quiz just tell my child their type?
Because a quiz can't know your child the way your child does, and a label handed to a kid can harden into a box. Choosing for themselves, or saying "not sure yet," keeps the result theirs and keeps it open to change as they grow.
Is my child's information saved or shared?
No. Answers stay in your browser's local storage. Nothing is sent to us, there's no account, and no email is asked for.
What should I do with my child's result?
Use it to start a conversation, not to explain them. Ask which parts sounded true and which didn't, then read the parenting guide for that pattern and the page on how it meets your own type.
